It's so comforting to know that someone loves you, and this book communicates that feeling really well. I loved the adorable fox, and I loved that his companion was a bird. Making the animals different species sends a subtle message that love can thrive among all kinds of beings; we don't have to be the same to love /5. This is one of my 6 year old's favorite books. I first bought this book to explain to him the depths of love. When he was very young, he would tell me "I love you more than you love me" and when he was not in the room, I would silently say " but I loved you first." So when I found this book, I knew 5/5(2).
